Opportunity

Developing and documenting a foundational set of design primitives that all surfaces can share will help us build more cohesive interfaces. That’s not to say that everything needs to look the same, but with the right set of constraints we will be able to build expressive UI that feels connected.

Develop a scalable component library of core experiences. This reduction in complexity allows us to design faster and more consistent experiences, leaving more time develop the surface specific hero experiences that makes Assistant stand out.

More importantly, designing for statefulness allows us to build experiences that live first and foremost inside of Assistant, rather than inside a single device or surface.

Start to build immersive modules that respond to context.

 

 

Personal, yet Googley

The Assistant brand is more than just the OPA mark or four colored dots. It’s the relationship we build with our users, how they feel about Assistant and how they talk about it.

We believe the Assistant should be able to represent it self in more flexible and playful ways.


Distinct, yet adaptable

Leverage the shapes to express the Google brand and adaptable throughout different sizes and shapes.
